§ 3.2. Temporary Officers.

Until the initial election provided for by Section 4.1 of this Charter, Mark K. Teal is hereby appointed Mayor, and Howard Gordon of District I, Noreen Morris of District II, Max W. Meek of District III and John A. Moga, Jr., of District IV are hereby appointed Councilmen of the town of Weddington, and they shall possess and may exercise the powers granted to the Mayor and Town Council until their successors are elected or appointed and qualify pursuant to this Charter.
