§ 46-10. General procedure for plat approval.

(a)

After the effective date of the ordinance from which this chapter is derived, no subdivision plat of land within the town's jurisdiction shall be filed or recorded in the office of the county register of deeds or of the Mecklenburg County Register of Deeds until it has been submitted and approved as set forth in article III of this chapter.

(b)

The county register of deeds or the Mecklenburg County Register of Deeds shall not file or record a plat of a subdivision of land located within the territorial jurisdiction of the town that has not been first approved in accordance with these provisions, nor shall the clerk of the county superior court or of the Mecklenburg County Superior Court order or direct the recording of a plat if the recording would be in conflict with this chapter.
